This handwoven navy blue scarf / stole is crafted from 100% pure wool by tribal artisans and women residing in a small Village in Kutch, Gujarat following centuries old tradition and heritage of hand weaving with colourful threads on the loom making shawls and blankets for their community.
This pure wool stole is crafted using natural colours and vegetable dyes with handmade hot pink, blue and navy blue pom poms / tassels finishing the hem.
After being woven on a hand loom, the stole/ scarf / shawl is intricately embroidered by tribal Rabari or nomadic women using a traditional stitch involving mirrors and threads depicting traditional designs and patterns.
Sourced responsibly and directly from the Vankars or weavers of Bhujodi Village, this product is part of a heritage of weaving where nomadic tribes weave colourful threads on the loom to make shawls and blankets for their community.
