Yali, also known as Vyala or Vidala is a mythical creature seen in most Hindu temples, often sculpted onto the pillars and portrayed as part lion, part elephant and part horse and similar shapes notably by Nayak rulers and became prominent in the 16th century.
This beautiful sculpture in brass has been mounted on a rich gold raw silk and framed inside a pastel green and gold finish frame.
