Vintage Brass Teardrop Vajri | Foot Scrubber With An Exquisite Peacock - L 8 cm x W 4 cm x Ht 7.5 cm

Stunningly beautiful - This is a vintage brass mid century design Foot Scrubber. 
Known as "Vajris", they were made in various shapes of favourite pets and animals by skilled artisans of the royal family and used mostly by the princely women while bathing to scrub the feet.

Crafted in brass, this scrubber with a teardrop base as the pedestal displays beautiful perforated lattice work, a checkered rough base for scrubbing and finally a beautifully hand crafted peacock looking back as the handle for a firm grip.

Small metal balls called Ghungroos or are filled inside the base which make a sound which as the legend goes were there to warn off other people especially men in the vicinity that women of royalty were bathing nearby.
