A magnificent collection of 10 brass idols known as " Dashavatar" handcrafted in brass depicting the ten primary incarnations or Avatars of Vishnu - The Creater of the Universe as per hindu mythology.
Crafted by skilled artisans from Tamil Nadu, South India, the word Dashavatara derives from Das, meaning’Ten’ and Avatar (avatra), meaning’incarnation and refers to the mythological story of the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu who descend to the terrestrial world to establish stability and order, time and again.
The list of Dashavatara varies across sects and regions as Krishna, Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Sri Rama, Balarama and Kalki.
