This is an exquisite Vintage brass temple frame depicting "Yali" - A mythical creature seen in many Hindu temples often found atop the pillars of South Indian sculpture and temples handcrafted with fine details with a 3 dimensional Naag and Yali.

The stunning temple frame or " Prabhavali" as is popularly known is crafted with beautiful and delicate peacocks and dancing figures of the worshippers all across the frame showing off the skills of the artisans from the South of India.

The Yali is portrayed as part lion, part elephant and part horse, and in similar shapes including some bird-like features and are believed to be more powerful than the lion, the tiger or the elephant displaying the role of the " Protector".

Weighing more than a 1000 grams, this brass Prabhavali ( the never ending circular Halo around an Indian God or temple ) is a collectors item.
