This is a vintage handcarved vertical dark wood wall panel of the 3 most worshipped hindu deities -Lord Ganesha in the center, Goddesses Lakshmi above and Goddess Saraswati with the Veena below and a Dwarapalaka at the bottom of the carvings culpted by skilled artisans from Tamil Nadu, South India from a single block of local Raintree wood.
Lord Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the Deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies.
Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity and is the wife and Shakti (energy) of Vishnu, one of the principal deities of Hinduism and the Supreme Being in the Vaishnavism Tradition.
Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom, and learning worshipped throughout Nepal and India. She is a part of the trinity (Tridevi) of Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati.
