Hand Crafted Framed Wooden Temple of Indian Lords Jagannath, Balabhadra And Subhadra

This Vintage "Kavaad" is an amazing folding wooden handcrafted temple of the 3 Lords Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra framed on black silk.

Displaying hinged doors, wooden figures of the 3 Lords are handcrafted from mango wood and hand painted with natural vegetable colours and dyes by skilled artisans from the south of India. It has been then framed in a Polystyrene frame on black silk fabric.

The name "Jagannath" or Lord of the Universe, is invariably a collective representation of the Triad (Jagannath - Balabhadra ( Jagannath's brother and Subhadra, his sister ) and has been in use since the dawn of the last millenium representing right knowledge, right thought and right perception.

The oldest and most famous Jagannath deity is established in Puri. The temple of Jagannath in Puri is regarded as one of the Char Dham (sacred Hindu pilgrimage places) in India.
