The Mythical Yali brass door handle handcrafted by artisans from the South of India in the shape of a dagger with a curved blade.
The Yali has bulging eyes separated by a high crest to the forehead, leading to the back of the head and around the neck, open gaping mouth with a curling tongue and sharp tiger like teeth. The dagger has a beautifully engraved hilted handle with engravings and a curved blade.
This magnificent door handle can be screwed onto any door with 4 screws into the holes made on the two round base under the handle for installation.
The Yali, seen sculpted on temple pillars in the South of India particularly is portrayed as part lion, part elephant and part horse, and in similar shapes including some bird-like features and are believed to be more powerful than the lion, theTiger or the elephant.
