Vintage 80 cm tall Octagonal shaped brass planter with a exquisitely handcrafted mesh / Jaali work on each wall hand crafted with 6 women holding foldable oil lamps, hanging on thick chain with a full figure of a woman in traditional costume and a peacock near the hook of the chain.
The planter depicting the paws of a lion for each of its legs is held together by 3 thick link chains and peacock shaped as the hook.
As per tradition, such planters were used to light coal or wood known as a Sigri in the mid century, now used indoor or outdoors as a planter.
Handcrafted by artisans from the south of India, this is a Collectors item.
