Beautiful vintage inkwell standing 17 cm tall in the shape of a majestic lady wearing a long skirt with engravings made by artisans from the state of Madhya Pradesh , central India using the Lost wax process of metal casting.
Handcrafted in excellent quality brass, it shows opening of the inkwell just below her waist.
This vintage ink well is reminiscent of the Indian Mughal era when such ink pots were used by the emperors and royalty to sign off the laws of the land with a feather quill .
