The Goddess is crafted sitting on a lotus flower flanked by her worshippers displaying the Abhay Mudra posture and is hand carved from a single block of wood in fine detail with floral motifs by artisans from Tamil Nadu , South of India where the art of handcrafting and carving idols in wood is legendary and still being practised since centuries as per tradition.
