Rare vintage inkwell standing 16 cm tall handcrafted with a box shape standing on 4 peacock legs handcrafted in excellent quality brass by artisans from the state of Madhya Pradesh , central India using the Lost wax process of metal casting.
This exquisite ink well in addition has a beautiful peacock lid over the opening .
The traditional ink well is reminiscent of the Indian Mughal era when such ink pots were used by the emperors and royalty to sign off the laws of the land with a feather quill .
Size: Height 16 cm. Each side of the inkpot measures 6.5 cm in width and stands on 4 peacock legs.
