This beautiful painting is a wall hanging depicting in fine detail and colours, the Rajput King playing Holi - The Indian festival of colours using Pichkaris ( water guns ) with his wives while being entertained by the kIng's musicians. 

Hand painted on wood with a fine brush by skilled artisans from Rajasthan, the colours used are all rich, natural and earthy and in the old days were extracted from certain minerals, plant sources and conch shells and even derived by processing precious stones including gold and silver.
