Magnificent sculpture of Garuda - Hindu demigod who is primarily depicted as the mount (vahana) of the Hindu god, Vishnu, handcrafted in brass with an exquisite rich dark green and gold patina finish standing majestically on an oval pedestal.
Described as the king of the birds with a kite like figure, he is shown as a giant bird with partially open wings and is generally portrayed as a protector with the power to swiftly travel anywhere, ever vigilant and an enemy of every serpent. He is also known as Tarkshya and Vainateya.
