From our Vintage Collection - Inspired by the famous Aarti ceremony of Varanasi, this is a magnificent 3 Tier Arti | Prayer lamp with the Tortoise and 12 diyas, handcrafted by skilled Indian artisans from the South of India using the traditional lost wax process of casting.
The turtle (or tortoise) is considered to be a sacred animal for Hindu people and represents the Kurma Avatar or Bedawang Nala / Badavannala (God Vishnu's incarnation as a giant turtle supporting the world) and hence, the sea turtles are valued as sustainers of life on earth.
With 12 oil diyas and the exquisitely crafted turtle at the base, this vintage brass lamp provides immense beauty and grace to any home.
