Magnificent Chariot or "Rath" of Lord Ganesha - God of wisdom driven by Ganesha's vahan / Vehicle - The Mouse handcrafted by skilled artisans in fine quality brass by artisans from the south of India.

The chariot on 4 wheels displays grace and beauty with the mythical Hamsa bird or Anna Pakshi sitting on the edge of the chariot and further enhanced by the intricate and fine detailing on the Mouse and the chariot with Lord Ganesh sitting in front of the prabhavali protected by the mythical yali.

Lord Ganesha with the mouse as his vehicle as per hindu mythology is able to go into nooks and corners of the world and carry out his mission as the Destroyer of Obstacles and one who can pass through tiny holes and narrow pathways, even in the darkness of night. This gives the quality of all-pervasiveness to Ganesha.

The broken tusk that Ganesha holds like a pen in his lower right hand is a symbol of sacrifice, which he broke for writing the epic Mahabharata. The rosary in his other hand suggests that the pursuit of knowledge should be continuous. The laddoo (sweet) he holds in his trunk indicates that one must discover the sweetness of the Atman.

Ganesha, the God of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth.
