This is a traditional tikka or vermilion storage box in the shape of twin petals which slide open handcrafted in mango wood with a majestic horse standing in between stained in red, blue and green colours.
The ttikka box is hand engraved by artisans from Rajasthan with floral motifs enhancing the beauty of this storage box.
Such make up boxes were used by ladies of royalty in the mid century for storing " Sindhoor" known as Vermilion which is a red powder made from dried flowers and worn by married women in the parting of their hair to show respect for their spouse , their long life and as a sign of marriage.
