Vintage Hexagonal Hanging Brass Planter With Oil Lamps & Peacocks - Length 80 cm x Dia 16 cm

This Vintage 80 cm tall six sided hexagonal shaped brass planter displaying an exquisite  floral mesh / Jaali on each wall with delicately crafted peacocks and worshippers holding foldable oil lamps on all sides hangs on thick chain with a full figure of a woman in traditional costume and a peacock near the hook to hang the planter.

The planter depicting the paws of a lion for each of its legs is held together by 3 thick link brass chains and peacock shaped hook with 18 brass bells or ghungroos enhancing the planters beauty and grace.

As per tradition, such planters were used to light coal or wood known as a Sigri in the mid century, now used indoor or outdoors as a planter. 

Handcrafted by artisans from the south of India, this is a  Collectors item.
