Vintage 6 sided Hexaganol shaped hanging brass planter displaying an exquisite floral mesh / Jaali on each wall and delicately crafted peacock on the chain with worshippers holding foldable oil lamps.
The planter depicting the paws of a lion for each of its legs is held together by thick brass chains and a peacock shaped hook with brass bells or Ghungroos enhancing the planters beauty and grace.
As per tradition, such planters were used to light coal or wood known as a Sigri in the mid century and are now used as decorative planters.
Handcrafted by master craftsmen and artisans from the south of India, this is a Collectors item.
