Exquisite brass temple frame or Prabhavali - Halo of the Gods inspired by the temples of South India handcrafted with the mythical Yalis and Markaras on either side of the intricately engraved temple pillars and the idols of the Hindu dieties Ganesha - God of wisdom and Lakshmi - Goddess of wealth and prosperity.
Makaras seen above the pillars are the vahana (vehicle) of the river goddess Ganga, Narmada and of the sea god Varuna and are considered as guardians of gateways and thresholds, protecting throne rooms as well as entryways to temples.
This beautiful prabhavali has been mounted on a rich green raw silk and framed inside a antique finish synthetic gold frame.
