Vintage brass lamp of Ashtalakshmi with Lord Ganesh - God of wisdom and the eight manifestations of Devi Lakshmi - Hindu goddess of wealth flanked by elephants.
She presides over eight sources of wealth: "Wealth" in the context of Ashta-Lakshmi means prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny, and power.
Handcrafted by skilled artisans from the South of India with the mythical Yali engraved on top of the lamp and twin elephants, the back of the lamp displays twin majestic elephants and etching of an exquisite floral design.
One can find this traditional Vilakku as part of the family heritage and is traditionally lit daily to illuminate knowledge eradicate the darkness and ignorance in us.
