Hindu Elephant God Ganesha On Vintage Brass Swing With Elephants & Yali - H 33 cm x W 22 cm

This is a beautifully crafted Vintage Brass swing hanging on chains with Lord Ganesha seated on it mounted on an exquisite handcrafted Prabhavali temple frame. 

Displaying the skills and the craft of the artisans from South India, the swing sits on a rectangular base flanked by temple pillars of the prabhavali intricately sculpted with majestic elephants and dieties including carvings of lotus petals on either side and protected by the mythical Yali on top of the frame.

Ganesha, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India, Srilanka, Thailand and Nepal. Worshipped regardless of affiliations, Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the Deva of intellect and wisdom.

As the god of beginnings, he is honoured and no ritual or ceremony is complete without his presence.
